Celtic shamanic training at Danu Lodge

"

Walkers Between the Worlds is a two-part foundation training in Celtic and ancestral shamanism, held at Danu Lodge with Margot Harrison and Kate Curtis. The training grounds students in the ancient mysteries of our native shamanic tradition — journeying, healing, questing and arbitrating along the old paths of wisdom.

01

What the training covers

Part one introduces the shamanic worldview, journey practice, gathering spirit allies and the elemental map of the Celtic tradition. Students learn to enter and return safely from the three worlds of Celtic cosmology — the Upper, Middle and Lower — and to build relationships with land, plant and animal allies.

Part two deepens the healing and questing work: extraction, soul retrieval, ancestral healing and arbitration along the old paths of wisdom. It prepares students for continued practice within the tradition and for offering shamanic work to others.

Held residentially at Danu Lodge in north Co. Wexford. Vegetarian meals, single and twin accommodation, walks straight from the door onto the four acres of native woodland beneath Annagh mountain.

02

Who it is for

Practitioners, therapists and seekers who feel called to the Celtic shamanic path — no prior experience is required, only sincere interest and willingness to work with the land.

Many students come from allied practices — psychotherapy, bodywork, breathwork, acupuncture, herbalism, midwifery — and weave the shamanic work into their existing offering. Others come simply because the call is there.

Foundation Course in Celtic and Ancestral Shamanism — Level A

With Margot Harrison and Kate Curtis.

This is the first in the series of courses in Celtic and Ancestral Shamanism. The Walkers Between Worlds Shamanic Foundation Course is intended for shamanic beginners to help establish journeying skills.

This is a two-part course which teaches students to journey, heal, quest and arbitrate along the ancient paths of wisdom, gathering spirit allies. We ground in the ancient mysteries of our native shamanic tradition, gathering as a clan of the sacred earth.

The Foundation Course in itself does not make you into a shaman nor equip you for working professionally with clients. This is resultant upon a much longer training. After completion of both parts of the Foundation Course, apt students are invited to continue onto a progressive training, starting with the Intermediate level courses.

Part One — THE TREE OF TRADITION: Walking Between Worlds. We concentrate on acquiring and developing journey skills, and gaining personal connection, knowledge and insight.

Five or six months later, Part Two — SACRED COMPANIONS: Deepening our Ancestral Connection with Allies. This builds upon the relationship with our spirits and helps balance our shamanising. We explore the basic healing skills and deepen our journeying skills.

Residential and non-residential options are available.

Intermediate Level Shamanic Practitioner Training — Level B

THRESHOLDS OF POWER & HEALING with Margot Harrison and Kate Curtis. For those who have completed the Foundation Course (or equivalent).

This course teaches a full range of shamanic healing ways including plant-spirit healing, extraction of intrusions, and embodiment of personal allies. It is an essential next component for shamanic practitioner training.

If you have trained elsewhere and would like to book onto this course please contact Margot Harrison on margotharrison@aol.com before booking.

07

Midwifing the Soul — with Margot Harrison and Kate Curtis

This residential course teaches the essential skills of shamanic soul healing, exploring the nature of the soul, soul-loss, soul retrieval, and how intrusions are removed for soul to return.

We also explore how healing can be brought by the Reconsecration Ritual.

This is only for those who completed Thresholds of Power: we do not accept students trained elsewhere on this course.
