About this gathering

A live Zoom webinar with Kate Curtis — an accessible discussion and presentation on Grof Holotropic Breathwork and holotropic (non-ordinary) states of consciousness.

The Grof breathwork healing system enables us to learn more about ourselves, to heal, and to open to our innate wisdom. Historically it has its origins in the healing modality of Holotropic Breathwork created by Dr Stanislav Grof and his wife Christina in the 1960s.

Breathwork can be a powerful method of personal transformation and healing; an insightful tool for self-enquiry — light and shadow; a self-empowering way to re-integrate fragmented parts of ourselves that may have been split off through guilt, shame, fear, anger or sadness; a highly experiential complement to psychotherapy; a means of accessing ideas and inspiration from the transpersonal realm for the wounded, the artist, the scientist, the student and the inventor.

It is also a deep self-care approach for the healing and helping professional, an evidence-based tool that can address the roots of addiction and depression, and a support for the healing of previous emotional or physical trauma, for reducing symptoms of anxiety and stress, and for creative inspiration.

Many people report that Grof breathwork has been instrumental in helping them connect with who and what they truly are, and what their lives are about — a deep sense of calm and peacefulness often follows.
